The auditions for American Idol seemed to drag on this year. Coupled with the fact that there were twice as many contestants put through to Hollywood than previous years, all I say is "Finally, we have our top 24, and we can move forward."
I am so glad that Hollywood Week is starting on American Idol. Usually, I enjoy the auditions, but this season it felt long and tedious to me. Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez put so many undeserving contestants through at the start of the auditions, that I began to get frustrated.
I called my husband earlier this week and asked him to hold February 12th for an evening of dinner and dancing. Typically, we do not celebrate Valentine's Day, yes you heard me right! Our anniversary is one week later, so we never really felt the need to celebrate both, until now!
Steven Tyler was so inappropriate during last night's show that I was embarrassed for him. It felt so awkward when he made lewd and suggestive comments to the young female contestants. A couple of these gals were 16 years old, seriously; he could be there grandfather! Watch the video clip of just one example:
