A police officer in Huron County has been getting a lot of hits on YouTube, and a lot of praise from PETA. Officer Ryan Swartz of the Huron County Sheriff's Department responded a car-deer accident on Hellems Road in Dwight Township Friday, and found a dazed doe standing in the middle of the road.
Swartz picked up the doe, and gently moved her to the opposite side of the road. He took a minute to pet the animal, before she sprinted off.
Don't drink and drive. We hear it all the time, but some still haven't gotten the message. It was a typical Saturday last weekend for police officer Kevin Johnson and his canine partner Boze. Typical until their police car was hit head on by a drunk driver.
