It's been just over a month since that 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit Mineral, Virginia -- about 84 miles southwest of Washington, D.C. Some new videos are being released that show the earthquake in action. The Washington Monument was hit particularly hard, it's currently closed to the public while repairs are being made.

The damage that caused the closure was caught on tape from about 500ft above, check it out after the jump.

The National Park Service says it has no time frame for reopening the Washington Monument, which has been closed to the public since cracks appeared after a 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck the area August 23rd.

Engineers combed the interior of the 126-year-old monument after the quake and found pieces of mortar and rock, and aerial photographs showed a 4-foot-long crack at its top.

Watch the video below and catch the earthquake in action.
