Michigan Renaissance Festival

Today was the final day for the 2012 Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly.  With good weather for the final weekend, the crowds were large and fun was had by all.  My wife and I included.

If you haven't been to the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly yet, this is your last weekend to have some medieval fun.  The theme at the Ren Fest is "Sweet Endings," and you can enjoy all that entails from wine tasting to chocolate and cupcakes!

It always feels like going back in time when I enter the Michigan Renaissance Festival.  Most of the people who come to visit are dressed up in medieval garb, and even talk with that Shakespearean dialect.  It's not everyday we can say things like "Good Morrow" or "Huzzah!"

The Michigan Renaissance Festival kicks off this weekend in Hollygrove, and will be open weekends and Labor Day through the end of September.  Each weekend at the Renaissance Festival has a theme, this weekend is the Royal Pet & Ale Festival.

The Michigan Renaissance Festival is celebrating their Harvest Huzzah this Saturday and Sunday, but also Festival Friday today.  This is one of two three-day weekends the 2011 schedule offers. The only Friday the Renaissance Festival is open this season offers the opportunity for school groups to experience the authentic Holly Grove Village.
