NYU Professor Fired For Giving James Franco A ‘D’

Actor James Franco has been pursuing a Masters in fine arts at New York University, but one professor refused to give him special treatment and actually gave him a 'D.' As a result the school fired the professor, who is now suing the school, according to TMZ.

The professor says Franco missed 12 of the 14 director classes and went on to say that the actor is lucky he even graduated. Other professors didn't seem to mind him skipping classes and gave him good grades, but this professor didn't care who he was and didn't want to give him special treatment. Should he have been fired from the university?
