Mt. Morris Drug Bust Leads Cops to Fake IDs, Counterfeit Credit Cards [VIDEO]
It was a drug bust that led to so much more. Police in Mt. Morris Township were searching for drugs, but when they entered the home on Cypress Drive they found hundreds of counterfeit IDs, credit cards, and the equipment used to make them.
Mt. Morris Township Police Chief Terence Treen tells WJRT the find was unexpected.
"When you start targeting the drivers of crime, you never know what to expect once you enter their house or whatever location they are operating out of," he said. "I can honestly say, this was unexpected with this group."
The raid -- which took place in June -- also netted $10,000 in cash. Two people have bee arrested and will face federal charges.
