Joe's Crab Shack has issued an apology after guests complained about a photo used as decoration depicted a black man being hanged.

Tyrone Williams and Chauntyll Allen tell KMSP that they spotted the photo of the historic 1895 hanging of Richard Burleson embedded into their table with a caption reading, "All I said was I don't like the gumbo."

The pair then posted a picture of the photo on social medial. Joe's has since issued the following apology:

"We take this matter very seriously, and the photo in question was immediately removed. We sincerely apologize to our guests who were disturbed by the image and we look forward to continuing to serve the Roseville community."
