University of Michigan Head Coach Jim Harbaugh Was On Saved By The Bell?

Jim Harbaugh has accomplished a lot in his time not only with U of M as a Head Coach but as a player as well. He ended up going into the NFL and played for the Chicago Bears from 87 to 93, the Indianapolis Colts from 94 to 97, the Baltimore Ravens in 98, the San Diago Chargers in 99 & 2000, and ending his professional playing career for the Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers in 2001.

But it was while he was playing for the Indianapolis Colts that he had one of the strangest roles you may not remember, playing Screech's Cousin on Saved By The Bell: The New Class. The show amazingly lasted 7 seasons, airing between 1993 and early 2000, as a spin-off of the original series.

Jim Harbaugh Playing Screech's Cousin on Saved By The Bell

In the episode, one of the students found out that Screech's cousin was Jim Harbaugh, and was basing his final presentation on Jim Harbaugh showing up to talk to the class. Screech dressed up in the full Colts uniform to delay and cause a distraction when Mr. Belding walks in shocked to find out Jim Harbaugh was walking the halls and was indeed Screech's cousin.

Saved By the Bell wasn't a stranger to inviting NFL players on the show, as Bob Golic was a staple character of Saved By The Bell: The College Years. Not only a Radio Personality and actor, he played in the National Football League for 14 seasons from 1979 to 1992 with the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, and Los Angeles Raiders.
