If you're trying to do some volunteer work this weekend you can be part of a community wide cleanup of Hardenbrook/Jackson Park on Saturday from 9am to 1pm. The park is located on Alexander Street between Rankin and Jackson and a recent press release says they're looking for more volunteers.

Volunteers have already painted and updated the playground equipment so they plan on mowing, pruning and weed wacking on Saturday. Ward 3 City Councilman Bryant Nolden says they are in need of more volunteers:

"We could use more volunteers. Bring your family and anything you have laying around that would make the park look nice, like leftover flowers and make a morning of it."

If you do plan on stopping by, they could use more weed wackers and large bags for trash, grass and debris. For more information, call (810) 397-3193.
