A former Rochester High School teacher has been sentenced to serve four to 15 years in prison after being convicted of having sex with students.

Kathryn Houghtaling was arrested in January of last year, accused of having sexual relations with two boys, one 16 and one 17. The former special education teacher was also accused of giving drugs to one student.

The prosecuting attorney in the case tells WJBK that Houghtaling showed no remorse for her actions.

"Still, to this minute this defendant has expressed no remorse: (She believes) this is everyone else's fault, she blames the victims," the prosecutor stated. "She makes statements to the probation agent which I found outrageous, claiming that she was threatened by one of these victims that he would harm her, he would harm her husband, that he would kill her dogs or burn down her house."
