Fenton Non-Profit Brings Therapy Horses to People Hurting – The Good News
They're having a fundraiser this Friday to raise money to purchase another horse.
The organization is called Horses Heal Hearts of Michigan, and they're located in Fenton. They help kids with special needs (horses have been found to be really good for kids on the autism spectrum), veterans with PTSD, seniors, people at rehabilitation centers, etc.
And now, they're trying to raise money for another horse to help those in our community.
They're having a fundraiser this Friday called Denim and Diamonds. The farm where the horses are homed at, Windwalker Farms, takes in most of the cost of the horses, but insuring them to be used as therapy animals can be expensive.
