Equifax Breach Affects 4.6 Million Michigan Consumers
That Equifax data breach we heard about last month? Turns out it was even bigger than it was reported to be. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette has announced that an additional 800,000 Michigan consumers have been affected, bringing the Mitt's total to about 4.6 million.
“The fall out from this breach continues to grow and my consumer protection team is diligently working to make sure Michigan residents know what to monitor as they move forward,” Schuette tell WZZM. "It is important for individuals to determine if they are affected and I encourage anyone who believes their personal information has been compromised to file a complaint with my office.”
