Delta College Students Support Rape Victim With Thousands of Post-It Notes [VIDEO]

Students at Delta College have rallied behind a rape victim, by plastering the campus with sticky notes that read, "I believe her."

After the female student reported the incident on February 22nd, rumors began to circulate, questioning the validity of the victim's account. Olivia Rose, a student at Delta College, tells WNEM she heard students and staff members say her story “doesn’t add up” or “doesn’t seem true.”

Rose went on to stress the importance of listening to survivors of sexual violence.

"You know, they say that 92 percent of sexual assaults go unreported and that is because they're probably afraid of people not believing their story and the shame that's brought by them."
