Think for a moment of all the fun you could have and all that you could accomplish with a big lottery win. The only thing standing in your way is picking the right numbers. That is, however, a rather sizable hurdle.

Jackpots Keep Growing

If you've noticed that lottery jackpots like the Mega Millions and the Powerball keep getting bigger and bigger, there's a reason for that. The structure of these jackpots has changed in recent years, in order orchestrate bigger jackpots, like the $842 million Powerball jackpot that made news earlier this year when one winning ticket was sold in Grand Blanc. As of now, the winner of this monstrous jackpot has yet to come forward.

As of this writing, this Saturday (2/17) the Powerball jackpot is estimated to be $306 million. The next Mega Millions drawing will take place this Friday (2/16) and is estimated to be a whopping $457 million.
