The Tigers have had their troubles winning in Minnesota in recent history.  They jumped on Twins pitcher Francisco Liriano early for 4 runs, then never let up for a 10-2 victory.  Rick Porcello pitched 5 innings for his 3rd win which was interrupted by a 64 minute rain delay.

The Tiger win streak is now at four games, and the team is starting to click offensively.  Victor Martinez made the Twins pay for walking Miguel Cabrera, as V-Mart had 3 hits and drove in four runs last night.  Austin Jackson continues to play well, reaching base three times with two more hits.  Jhonny Peralta blasted a two-run homer and Brennan Boesch collected two hits and drove in two runs.

The Detroit bullpen logged some quality innnigs last night with Thomas, Schlereth and Villarreal holding the Twins at bay over the last four.

Pitcher Phil Coke attempts to get out of a bad streak this afternoon, when he tries to improve on his 1-5 record in a 1:10 pm game in Minneapolis.

The Tigers get a day off tomorrow (Thurs.), then come home for 3 games with Kansas City followed by two against Toronto.

Detroit is now above the .500 mark at 19-18, the first time they've had their heads above water since before that 7-game losing streak.  The weather is starting to warm up and so are our Tigers!
