It was this day, July 12th, back in 1976 that the classic game show "Family Feud" debuted on televisions across the country. Originally hosted by the late Richard Dawson, the "Feud" has seen many set changes and emcees through the years.

It's no secret that I am a huge fan of Family Feud, and its original host Richard Dawson. I thought I knew everything about him and the show, but since his passing a week ago I have learned much more.

I got the sad news this morning that Richard Dawson passed away Saturday after losing his battle with esophageal cancer. Born Colin Lionel Emm, he was an English-born American actor, comedian, game show panelist and iconic game show host in America. He was known for his role as Peter Newkirk on Hogan's Heroes, and was a regular panelist on the classic 70s game show Match Game from 1973 to 1978. But he was best known for being the original host of Family Feud from 1976–1985 and 1994–1995.

As many of you may know, I am the biggest fan of "Family Feud" there is. I have both of the games for Wii, I have the old school board game from the early 80s, I even made my own "Family Feud" board, and we played at my wedding. I know... it's an obsession!
Although my favorite host of the "'Feud" is the late Ray Combs, the funniest "Family Feud" moment I have ever seen comes from the Richard Dawson era. In this clip, 'Fast Money' becomes pretty slow! Check out the hilarity after the jump!
