A live morning television report on crosswalk safety almost turned tragic as an alleged drunk driver failed to stop at an intersection.  The CBS-13 reporter was about to cross the street as a California Highway Patrol officer looked on.

Detroit Tiger first baseman Miguel Cabrera has pleaded no contest to a drunken driving charge in Florida. The incident occurred last February near Ft. Pierce, Florida when the Tiger slugger was arrested after refusing a field sobriety test. Cabrera accepted a deal that spares him jail time. Charges of resisting an officer without violence and having an open container in a vehicle were dropped.

Rocker Rick Springfield was arrested Sunday night in Malibu, CA, and charged with a DUI.

According to TMZ, police initially pulled over the 61-year-old for a traffic violation. However, when they noticed the smell of alcohol, Springfield was subjected to two failed sobriety tests, where he measured a .10 and a .08.
