The Tigers have had their troubles winning in Minnesota in recent history. They jumped on Twins pitcher Francisco Liriano early for 4 runs, then never let up for a 10-2 victory. Rick Porcello pitched 5 innings for his 3rd win which was interrupted by a 64 minute rain delay.
The Tigers took 3 out of 4 in Toronto after losing the opening game of this series on Friday night. This one wasn't pretty, but a win is a win and the Tigers came out on top of Toronto tonight 10-5.
Austin Jackson had another 3-hit day today. Yesterday, he had three more hits than the entire Blue Jay team, but it went unnoticed as Justin Verlander pitched a no-hitter. Today, Jackson's hits were hard to ignore. Especially his two-run homer to give Detroit the lead 4-2 in the 7th inning.

Justin Verlander didn't have his best command. But he pitched a gutsy 6 innings and only allowed 3 runs to the Yankees while striking out 8. He was still throwing 99 and 100 mph, 130 pitches into the game.
Tiger manager Jim Leyland said after today's 5-4 loss to Cleveland, "We're just not doing enough things to win." No kidding. The Tigers had a 2-0 lead in the early going and gave it back an inning later. They took a 3-2 lead in the top of the 8th before
This was a close game. A pitcher's duel. It took 13 innings, but the outcome was still a bitter one for Tiger fans as Cleveland wins in walkoff fashion again, this time 3-2.
