The 2012 Grammys Awards are over, and we have the winners! Even before the televised show began, the Recording Academy was busy announcing 2012 Grammy award winners in several categories. In the live pre-telecast ceremony, approximately 70 out of the 78 winners were announced before the show itself.
Adele has undergone vocal cord surgery to remove polyps and it has forced her to be quiet lately while she heals.Her tour dates have been canceled or rescheduled until she heals. Adele had the top selling album since 2004, ’21, but for now, things are on hold.
However, she’s made progress and is opening up to Anderson Cooper on ’60 Minutes,’ which airs this Sunday (Feb. 12) before the Grammys.
‘The Voice‘ celebrated its diverse pool of talent with a diverse mash-up of Prince tracks. The judge gang performed a medley dedicated to the purple one, seamlessly mixing ’1999′, ‘Little Red Corvette,’ ‘I Wanna Be Your Lover’ and a countrified ‘Kiss.’ The eclectic sounds foreshadowed what was an extremely eclectic blind audition.

Sounds like Adele indeed turned her sorrow into treasured gold — then into treasured platinum, and next week into a Billboard chart record. Billboard reports that amid a week of few new releases, the British chanteuse is slated to top their Billboard 200 chart for the 16th nonconsecutive week, tying the record previously set by the ‘Titanic’ soundtrack.
Adele is on the road to recovery following vocal cord surgery last November, and will be attending the 2012 Grammy awards ceremony in February. Fingers crossed she’ll be well enough to sing!
Beyonce has unveiled a list of her 10 favorite songs of 2011 on her website. The list gives plenty of love to female singers and hip-hop artists. Though many critics have Beyonce’s ‘Countdown’ on their year-end lists, Bey went the modest route and did not choose any of her own songs.
