Have you been hearing about urban gardening but not really sure what it is? How it works? You're in luck.

Edible Flint will host the sixth annual Edible Flint Garden Tour tomorrow, Wednesday, July 30th. MLive says the tour will off people a look at several gardens operating within the city. Participants in the tour will meet with local food producers and will see firsthand how "local residents are transforming community concerns, such as vacant land, into valuable neighborhood assets." After the tour, Edible Flint will host the second annual Partners in Healthy Living Fair at the Flint Farmers' Market where they will be offered a meal prepared by local vendors with dessert and musical entertainment.

Check in for the tour is at 4:30 p.m. at the new Flint Farmers' Market location at 300 E. First Street. Buses and bike rides to the sites will begin at 5 p.m. The event is free, however, donations are requested to support future tours. More information can be found at edibleflint.org or by calling Deb Hamilton at (810) 244-8547.
