Layoffs Looming Large In Flint Again

The City of Flint could have 20 fewer police officers patrolling the streets if the city and the union can't reach an agreement on concessions. Layoff notices were issued on Tuesday, after negotiations stalled. The cuts mean that the city could be facing a public safety shortfall, while at the same time dealing with a near-record homicide rate.
