How is it possible that there could be a rivalry between kindergarten schools? A rivalry so intense that the principal of one school would poison two children, ages 5 and 6, with rat poison?

It happened in China. The schools got cast into this rivalry by being in a position where they compete for students from the nearby village. The principal injected rat poison in to yogurt and then had an accomplice put the tainted food near notebooks on their way to the other school.

The principal has confessed, but not before the two young girls ate the yogurt. One girl died on the way to the hospital, the other just a couple of days later.

The investigation continues. Both men have been arrested.
