Generally these days, the rule of tipping is considered to be about 15%. I usually try to leave up to 20% if I get good service, and I think many others do too!

However, There is a new ’60 Minutes’/Vanity Fair Poll out that found the discrepancy is wide for how much people tip.

According to the survey, one-third of people tip about 20% with another 8% who tip over 20%.

A third of the respondents also tip the standard 15, with eight percent typically putting down about 10 percent and three percent usually leaving less than 10 percent. One percent of the survey’s respondents said they did not tip at all. How about you? Do you have a set percentage you tip?
