A group of local officials are getting together to host a town hall on the recent weather emergencies and how we can be better prepared for future emergencies.

The town hall is being put on by Genesee County Commissioner Brenda Clack and state Senator Jim Ananich of Flint. They, along with a panel of other officials, will discuss how the community can work together to better address future weather emergencies such as school and business closings, plowing of roads, and more.

Others on the panel include: Genesee County Under Sheriff Chris Swanson, Kevin Keane from Consumers Energy, Tony Lasher from the Red Cross, Kathy Boles from the Valley Area Agency on Aging and Howard Croft from the City of Flint.

The town hall is taking place on Thursday, January 30 from 6:15 to 8 p.m. at the Willard P. Harris Auditorium on the 3rd floor of the Genesee County Administration Building located at 1101 Beach St. in Flint.
