Acclaimed Fenton Singer Competes to Be New 'Voice' in Detroit

Danielle Bollinger is about to go for it...or should we say "Go 4 It". The local singer-songwriter is a finalist battling it out to be the voice of Click on Detroit.

Bollinger is in the running in the "Go 4 It" singing contest to be the new voice for a Detroit classic, the theme for Click on Detroit's WDIV Channel 4. Just off the high of performing her show at The Capitol Theatre in Flint, she is now setting her sights on the "D".

Danielle told us she learned from her writing partner that WDIV was looking to update its iconic theme song and was holding open auditions. Bollinger jumped at the idea and submitted an audition tape of her version of the tune and received a callback and just a week later learned she had made the final four.

Channel 4 will broadcast and stream the finals, along with the Ford Fireworks, live starting at 8:00 pm. The viewing audience will have the opportunity to choose and vote for their favorite.
