Flushing police say they've had a problem with Flushing teens loitering at night so city council members have come up with an ordinance where teens would have an earlier curfew, according to The Flint Journal. It would affect 13-16 year-old's if it does get approved.

The proposed ordinance would make it a violation for teens to loiter in a public place between midnight and 6am on Friday and Saturday and after 11pm on every other night. They would be moving the curfew an hour earlier to see if this would make a difference in the amount of kids hanging out.

Flushing Police Chief Mark Hoornstra says it's hard to enforce anything since the kids aren't really doing anything wrong:

'"If we can pick them up for a curfew violation it might prevent some of the other issues (vandalism, break ins.)'"

City council will look at the matter again and they may even hold 17-year-old's accountable if this ordinance gets put into place. Since they're only moving the curfew an hour earlier, do you really think it's going to make a difference? I think kids will find a way around this and if they want to do something they'll find a way to do it.
