Sky high fuel prices have forced most of us to drive less, and the diminished demand for petrol has driven the price of a barrel of oil downward dramatically.

Prices for a barrel of crude oil went down $9.44 today to $99.80.  Unleaded gas also saw a steep drop in price, down 23 cents per gallon to $3.11 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

While that will probably spell a bit of relief at the pump soon, it won't be long lasting if demand picks back up.  Keep driving less and perhaps we can keep $5 a gallon gas away this summer.  I'll keep riding my bike!

Before you fill up, check the Cars 108 Pump Patrol page, hopefully you can avoid paying an arm and two legs!
