Most holidays last for just 24 hours that is until Meat Week, this holiday originated six years ago in the Southern US, but has spread across the nation. Meat Week begins the last Sunday in January and continues until the next Sunday. Each night, for eight days, participants dine on barbecued meat. Sounds like a good excuse to get the grill back out.
Vegetarians and Vegans can also join in the celebration by enjoying side dishes that don't contain meat or animal products. Get more details and enjoy some videos at the Meat Week website.
