A Burton woman who had hoped to get help for her son from Dr. Phil is slated to appear on the program Monday. (9/29)

Amie Carter, whose son Jayden is prone to outbursts and sometimes violent behavior, needs help controlling the seven-year-old boy. Jayden's father, Chad, blames her for their son's behavioral challenges, and says Amie is simply out for attention. Carter has posted several videos of her son's meltdowns online, and according to the promo for the upcoming Dr. Phil episode (video below), has begun making money on her YouTube channel.

Carter was not able to discuss much about the show's content, as she is contractually forbidden to share details of what took place during the taping. All she could say when I spoke with her on the phone was, "It really didn't go very well."

A Davison woman, Lisa Sain, appeared on the talk show earlier this month to discuss the challenges she faces raising a special needs son.

The ‘Dr. Phil’ Show airs locally on WNEM TV-5 weekdays at 4pm.
