Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint

The sounds of the islands are coming to the area next week!

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint Steel Drum Band will join Jim Coviak and Friends Caribbean Jazz for a performance at the Clio Amphitheater on Monday. A news release says Coviak and Friends have been mentoring the Boys & Girls Club members leading up to the concert and the two bands will perform separately and as a combined group. The groups will perform a mix of jazz, Caribbean and pop tunes.

The event, which is made possible through the Greater Flint Arts Council and Ruth Mott Foundation, takes place on Monday, August 11th at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. and admission to the concert is free.
