The Chicago Blackhawks opened round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a decisive 4-1 win last night over the Detroit Red Wings. The Wings appeared a little flat and Chicago well-rested as the Blackhawks took control early with a goal from former Red Wing Marian Hossa.The series will resume on Saturday afternoon in Chicago. The best of seven series decides who will advance to the Western Conference Championship. Damian Brunner scored the only Wings' goal in the first period to tie the game, less than two minutes after the Blackhawks had taken an early lead. Last night was the 800th game between these old Original Six rivals.
