Oscar nominations were announced this morning.  “The King’s Speech” received 12, including best picture.  Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush also received nominations for “The King’s Speech.” Other movies up for best picture include “Black Swan,” “The Fighter,” “Inception,” “The Kids Are All Right,” “127 Hours,” “The Social Network,” “Toy Story 3,” “True Grit,” and “Winter’s Bone.”

A few nominees for best actress include Natalie Portman for “Black Swan,” Nicole Kidman for “Rabbit Hole,” and Annette Bening for “The Kids Are Alright.”

Some nominees for best actor include Jeff Bridges for “True Grit,” James Franco for “127 Hours,” and Jesse Eisenberg for “Social Network.”  For a complete list of all the nominations, go here.

The awards show will be held on February 27th.  I’m rooting for “The King’s Speech,” because I really like Colin Firth.  Who would you like to see win?
