Unemployed workers in Michigan are set to receive a significant boost in their unemployment benefits, following the recent approval of legislation by the Michigan Senate.
Relax, everything is good, Michigan is not at the top of the list. Nearly $19 billion in state unemployment benefits were paid in error during the three years that ended in June, according to the Labor Department.

WNEM reports that about 50 Genesee County employees have been receiving unemployment benefits even though they were still working. During an audit officials found that the employees have collected $30,000 in benefits and they plan to investigate the case.
