UAW Workers

Nearly 1,000 UAW workers at American Axle in Three Rivers are on strike after contract negotiations stalled. The dispute has Flint watching closely because the supplier provides components for trucks built at Flint Assembly.

Members of UAW Local 699 walk off the job to strike at the Nexteer Automotive plant in Saginaw early this morning.

I've been known to thrown back a beer or two, but not before using heavy machinery to build engines for cars.  Chrysler workers at the Trenton Engine plant were caught on tape by Fox 2's Rob Wolchek . The workers would stop at a party store, then head to a park operated by, believe it or not, the U.A.W. to drink beer and smoke pot.  Check out the story after the jump.
