We've been lucky in Mid-Michigan to avoid some of the recent nasty weather that has literally been taking the country by storm.

Now you see it, now you don't.

The storm damaged the roof of a school and knocked out power to 200,000 homes and businesses.

Huron County in the Thumb, and Leelanau County near Traverse City sustained the most damage from tornadoes that ravaged Michigan on Sunday.

Are people overreacting? Or should the parents have already had this girl in a safe, underground shelter?

The National Weather Service has conducted a survey of the storm damage, and concluded that the storm that went through Birch Run was an EF-2 tornado.
