St. Ignace

Michigan's natural, seasonal beauty makes tourism great. There aren't many "traps" for visitors, but this one gets in state folks, too.

Before the Bridge's finished construction in 1957, The only way to travel to and from the U.P. was by these ferries.

There is only one day a year that pedestrians area allowed on the Mackinac Bridge and that day is coming up.

Last week, I started a series of articles about a trip my son and I took up north last weekend.  Today, we continue with a stop at Castle Rock in St. Ignace. This rock, at least five stories up, provides an incredible view of the Straits of Mackinac.  Castle Rock is also home to Paul Bunyan and his blue ox, Babe.
