As the district evolves its sprawling footprint, a big step into the future starts now.

With that, many districts are looking for better ways to utilize time spent in and out of school, and that includes scheduled days off. Now, one district is looking at making some remote days permanent on the calendar.

Shortly before noon on Friday of last week, Genesee County 911 received a very disturbing phone call.  An "older male" claimed there were five dirty bombs inside five different schools in Genesee County.  That call was made from a pay phone at a Birch Run gas station. Another call came in just 27 minutes later which was traced back to a pay phone in Flint near Dort Highway and Davison Ro
