Kyle Kuzma is helping his home town of Flint and those who need extra help due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Most runners like pizza.  It's a natural combination, as pizza is full of carbohydrates that runners crave.  The fact that most people just think pizza tastes great is a bonus.  On Thursday, August 9th at 6:30, hundreds of runners and walkers will head out for a 5k and then eat pizza!

The Diplo-Dash Retread 5k run/walk is this Thursday, June 7th at the Flint YMCA at 411 E. Third Street. Both events start at 6:30 pm. It's a flat and fast course and makes for good speedwork for those training for the Crim. It also benefits the Diplomat Helping Hands Foundation, which assists low income patients in getting needed medications.

The New Year's Resolution 8k run and 5k walk will take place on Saturday, December 31st at 2:00 pm at the downtown Flint YMCA at 411 East 3rd Street. If your goal is to be fit and active in 2012, why not start a little early? 8k (kilometers) is just under 5 miles, 5k is just over 3 miles, both distances are very doable even if you haven't been training.

Here's a chance to burn some calories and talk a little smack to the fans of the "other" school by running the annual Tailgate Challenge 5k tomorrow morning in downtown Flint. Michigan fans run in the opposite direction of MSU fans so they can engage in some good-natured trash talk before the big game tomorrow afternoon.
