The Crim Festival of Races is less than two weeks away.  If you haven't gotten around to signing up yet, you can still save a few bucks before paying top dollar at the race expo.  Save $10 on your race entry by signing up online before August 22 at 2 pm.

The Crim Festival of Races is getting closer (less than 3 weeks) and this Sunday morning (Aug 12) you can join other runners for a dress rehearsal on the Crim course.  It's not a race, just a practice run on the course.

The Crim Festival of Races is just over a month away, but it's not too late to sign up to be a part of it.  Saturday, August 25th, thousands of runners and walkers will take to the streets of Flint for this annual celebration of fitness, fun and community pride.

Running the Crim is something that most everyone can do. They have events ranging from 1 mile to the well-known Crim 10-Mile race and everything in between. Prices for entry go up July 1st. For the 10-Miler, you'll save 10 bucks by signing up before that date.

Deb Kiertzner, Race Director of the Crim Festival of Races will be stepping down soon. After seven years as the Crim Race Director, Kiertzner says "It's time to try something new". During her tenure at The Crim, the race has grown to over 10,000 participants in the signature 10-mile event.

Another big event is happening this morning in downtown Flint. The 35th Crim Festival of Races starts at 8am with the runners followed by the walkers a few minutes later. Whether you're participating in the event or cheering someone on, there's going to be plenty of activities taking place after the race.

Of course the Crim Festival of Races is taking place on Saturday so to get you ready for the big event there's going to be a Return to the 80's Party on Friday night in downtown Flint. Dress in your best 80's clothes for a fun filled night of entertainment, contests, demonstrations and more.

The success of the Crim Road Race has put it in a precarious position. If entries continue to grow, the Crim might have to put a limit on how many participants it can handle this year. The Crim 10-mile road race has no limit yet, but it might become an option. The Crim Festival of Races will probably break last year's record of participation. The 35th running of the Crim is set for the 27th of this month in downtown Flint. If you sign up at Financial Plus on Van Slyke Road this Friday from 10-2, you'll save $3 off your entry fee. Financial Plus members will save $5. Additionally, the 20th, 30th and 40th people to register for the Crim that day will get to run for free, compliments of Financial Plus...
