The new Adam McKay biopic was almost a very strange experience.

When 'The Dark Knight Rises' came out -- even though the film left the door open for a spin-off or sequel  -- Christian Bale was consistent in saying that he would only come back if Christopher Nolan was at the helm. And though Warner Brothers is trying to get 'Justice League' going and would love to have him back, Bale has just said he will not be returning to play Batman.

The 2013 Oscar season is almost here and 'The Dark Knight Rises' is looking to get its hand on some of those gold trophies. Warner Bros. is mounting a major 'Dark Knight Rises' Oscar campaign for the film in most major categories. Find out who's in the running and who they'll likely be competing against.

Today's nice guy award goes to? Christian Bale has been doing this kind of thing a lot lately. The actor definitely tries to make a difference in the lives of his fans. Christian flew a four-year-old leukemia patient Jayden Barber and his family out to California for lunch  at Disneyland's Club 33 last week.   Great to see a positive story come out of Hollywood.

‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ star Christian Bale showed he has the values instilled in Bruce Wayne when he made a personal visit to Aurora, CO, yesterday to meet with the victims of last week’s horrific movie theater shooting.

Christian Bale, the brooding star of all three ‘Batman’ movies in director Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, has turned in his keys to the Batmobile. Shooting on the latest film, ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ recently wrapped, and Bale said, “t’s all done. Everything’s finished. It’s me and Chris – that will be the end of that Batman era.”

I'm very happy that Colin Firth won best actor for 'The King's Speech.' I'm also glad the movie won for best picture and original screenplay. If you haven't had a chance to see the movie, I highly recommend it.

"The Social Network" won four Golden Globes last night, including best drama and director.  Looks like it might be time to go see the movie.
