Carnival riders at the Cherry Festival in Traverse City were lucky to walk away with no injuries after one of the rides broke down.
The Cherry Festival is in the process of wrapping up today, and festival organizers are breathing a sigh of relief after a nearly tragic accident happened...
Years and years ago, my Aunt Mary told me that grown-ups usually don't going on certain carnival rides once their earwax has hardened. I guess it has something to to with your equilibrium. Over the weekend, we spent a day at the Oakland County 4-H Fair. My niece, Rachel, insisted that I go because she knows that I love the big rides, and she wanted to ride with me.
The ride can be found in Russia. I must say it is one of the most bizarre carnival rides I have ever seen. At first glimpse this ride appears to be a straight forward spin around kind of ride.
But less than a minute into this video, it becomes painfully obvious that the ride is more the equivalent to a mechanical bull with weak knees than anything else.
Very strange, take a look.
This is every parents nightmare. Although she met the height and weight requirements for the "Techno Jump ride" at Rodeo Houston on Wednesday, a 3-year-old was thrown from her seat once the ride began.
The girl's mother reportedly decided she didn't want to ride along moments before it began-- and left her daughter strapped in with her brother.
Take the jump to watch this horrific video.
At 4:16 this afternoon Summer officially starts, and one of my favorite things about summertime is amusement rides. My wife is all about Cedar Point and roller coasters, but doesn't like upside down rides such as my favorite, the Loop-O-Planes. My oldest son is five-years-old now, and I think it's about time he experience this thrill ride!
