There will be three Back to the Bricks cars shows this year after organizers announced Mt. Pleasant and Cadillac will host their own Back to the Bricks extravaganzas.
This year's Back To The Bricks was a huge success. It was great to see tens of thousands of people flock to Saginaw Street enjoying the classic vehicles, many made right here in Flint.
There were literally thousands of vintage cars to see at Back to the Bricks this past week. My wife and I got up early Saturday morning and got in a 10-mile run along the Flint River trail. We ended up in downtown Flint for some early action at Back to the Bricks.
Yes I know you can't drive this in the Rolling Cruise with Back To The Bricks. After you watch the video I'm sure you'll agree that it is as unusual as some of the cars you'll see in Flint this weekend.

I put my Pine Wood Derby racer together last night at Thomas Appliance in Grand Blanc. It's free to kids 18 and under. Yea I know I'm not 18, they made a special exception for me because I started to act up.

We had a blast at last year's 'Bricks Flicks!" The feature was "Back To The Future," and several DeLoreans lined the front of the screen. Tonight's film will be the original 'Footloose,' and I am sure there will be plenty of feet at the US-23 Drive-In on Fenton Road.

There is no doubt that Back to the Bricks has become one of, if not he biggest event in Flint. I am pleased to announce that this year's events have already begun!
We hope you and your family had a chance to be a part of Back to The Bricks this year. It's shaping up to be a record year for attendance, despite the Saturday night rain out. Police officials say that they may add a special curfew for minors at next year's "Back to the Bricks" event. A fight in downtown Flint on Friday night that resulted in 22 arrests is the catalyst for the possible changes. Two different fights were reported. One was outside the McCree courts building, and there was also a smaller fight near Halo Burger that led to two additional arrests.
There were many events going on throughout Mid-Michigan on Saturday, and many of them ended prematurely. Severe Storms rolled through the area prompting several severe weather warnings, and dropping as much as five inches of rain in some spots in a very short period of time.
