Maybe you've been harangued about your smoking, or you find yourself nagging a friend or family member who just can't seem to give up the cancer sticks. Well, of course, there's an app for that! Quitbit is an electronic lighter which tracks every cigarette it lights, and helps smokers record their progress and reach their goals to quit. The Kickstarter project is expected to begin production by the end of 2014.

We give Cars 108 punching bags Jeremy Fenech and Chris Monroe endless grief about their smoking -- partly because we care about their health, but mostly because we enjoy giving them crap. "I only smoke about once per hour," they'll say. Riiiiiiiight!

Quitbit, along with its companion iPhone or Android app, helps give smokers an accurate picture of how many cigarettes they smoke, and can even be programmed to 'lock out' functionality before an allotted time, or after a maximum number of daily uses is reached. The app can calculate your savings as you cut down, and the social media component helps you celebrate your progress online.

Check out the Kickstarter video below, and share with anyone who may benefit from it.
