No one claimed the jackpot, which was estimated at about $643 million, so the top prize continues to grow. The next drawing on Saturday, August 23, is expected to be worth around $700 million.

Other Big Winners in U.S.

Even without hitting the jackpot, the Grand Blanc winner is walking away with a substantial payout. Another player in Oklahoma also matched all five white balls for a $1 million prize, while a Tennessee ticket with the Power Play option is worth $2 million.

The identity of the Grand Blanc winner hasn’t been revealed. Michigan Lottery officials say winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize. Anyone holding the winning ticket should contact the lottery as soon as possible to schedule a claim and ensure they don’t miss out on the $1 million payout.

Grand Blanc’s Historic Lottery Wins

This isn't the first time Grand Blanc has been home to a significant lottery win. In January 2024, a Powerball ticket sold at the Food Castle in Grand Blanc won an $842.4 million jackpot, marking the largest Powerball prize ever won in Michigan and the fifth-largest in U.S. history. The winners, a group known as The Breakfast Club, opted for a lump sum payout of approximately $305 million after taxes. They were announced publicly in June 2024, six months after the drawing.
