The Vietnam Moving Wall Is Back At Bluebell Beach In Flint

The Vietnam Moving Wall is currently on display in Genesee County.

Those wishing to pay their respects to the fallen soldiers can visit the memorial at Bluebell Beach in Flint. This wall is a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.

According to the official Vietnam Moving Wall website, volunteers are on hand to help you seek out a loved one's name,

The names are arranged in chronological order of their death, starting at the center of the panels. We always have volunteers available to walk with visitors as they start out on their journey to see a family or friend's name etched in the wall. If the person was an early casualty, they will need to walk to the center area of the entire display and that can be a very long and somber walk. Many of our volunteers are Vietnam War survivors, veterans and family members that just want to help others achieve some closure.

The wall will be on display from today, Thursday, July 30, 2026, through Sunday, August 2, 2026.

WNEM-TV5 reports that this is the fifth time The Moving Wall has been displayed at Bluebell Beach, thanks to the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 175 of Genesee County.
