Sad News, Owner Of Popular Flint Store Has Died At 65
The owner of Paradise Express in Flint, Michigan has died.
The family of Eddie Saba announced the sad news today, October 29, 2024, on social media.
Eddie Saba opened Paradise Express inside the Dort Mall in 1984. To this very day, I still have Guns N' Roses and Bon Jovi pillows from there, along with countless band tapestries, posters, and T-shirts.
When my sisters asked for Barbies and other toys for Christmas, I asked my mom for a Guns N' Roses wall clock from Paradise Express. I still have that clock, by the way.
When I was in high school, every cent I earned babysitting or working - was spent at Paradise Express.
Fast forward to 2024, and Paradise Express is still thriving. The store has expanded in size and merchandise since my teenage years.
During this difficult time, the Saba family will temporarily close the store. Rest assured, Paradise Express is not going anywhere. You can read the official statement from the family below.
Our deepest condolences to the family and many friends of Eddie Saba, he will be missed.
