America’s Most Disliked Grocery Store Has 94 Locations in Michigan
If there's one thing Michigan has, it's plenty of grocery store options.
While many consumer habits have changed over the years, one thing that hasn't changed much is our need to go grocery shopping. Some people prefer to have their groceries delivered to their homes or their cars in the parking lot, while others prefer to go in and shop for themselves.
The other big decision is where to shop. It really depends on what matters most to you. Some people want convenient hours and an easy pickup process, while others look for a good app and fresh, quality produce. Being close to home is a bonus, but having a good selection and friendly staff also helps. And of course, regular sales don’t hurt. At the end of the day, it’s all about finding the store that fits your needs and makes shopping easy.
The American Customer Satisfaction Index surveyed customers on the factors we just discussed. Out of 19 grocery stores, they identified the most liked and, ultimately, the most disliked ones in the U.S. According to the survey, a score below 79 is considered below average.
With 94 stores in Michigan, Walmart landed at the very bottom of the list with a score of 74.
The top five grocery stores in the survey are Costco (1), H-E-B (2), Publix (3), Trader Joe's (4), and Sam's Club (5).

While Walmart ranked lowest with customers in the survey, it ultimately comes down to what works best for you and your needs. If Walmart works for you, stick with it.
