It's so disturbing to think that a parent could get intoxicated and just get behind the wheel of a car with their kids in the backseat. Well, that's exactly what happened recently in Blissfield.

According to Washington Examiner, the 17-year-old was in the backseat with her 15-year-old brother when she decided to place a call to 911.

In the video below you can listen to the audio of the teen making that call.

The teen was obviously scared when telling the 911 operator what was happening.

Hi, um, my mom is drunk driving crazy as F*** with me and my little brother in the car. We don't feel safe at all. Like, we need somebody to come find us.

The mother was arrested after police witnessed her going over the lines and nearly hitting another car. Not to mention she was given a breathalyzer test and registered twice the legal limit.

Apparently, there was another adult that was in the passenger seat that ended up taking the kids to their grandmother's house. What I don't understand is why that person wasn't driving in the first place.

It takes a really brave kid to call the police on their own parent. That goes to show just how scared and unsafe those kids felt.

Blissfield is a village in Lenawee County, roughly an hour southeast of Ann Arbor.
