Michigan Man’s Court Appearance Goes Viral After Cat Filter Fail
A Michigan man is getting attention after using a cat filter during a virtual court hearing.
That wasn’t the only odd detail. Before the cat filter appeared, his virtual background was already set to the Golden Gate Bridge for no apparent reason, making the court appearance even more unusual.
According to Click On Detroit, the unidentified 22-year-old man was appearing in virtual court to formally enter a guilty plea related to an assault and battery charge.

As you will see in the video below, the cat filter suddenlty covering the man's face really does appear to be an accident. You can tell by the way he immeidately removes it, and says - 'Aw, snap. My Bad'.
As you can imagine, no one on the call was laughing. Court proceedings are rarely a place for humor, and this was no exception. The judge sternly instructed the man that if he was unable to compose himself and proceed in a serious manner, the hearing would be postponed.
Although no one was laughing during the virtual hearing, many people are laughing now. As mentioned earlier, it appears to have been an innocent mistake - just not one anyone would want to make themselves.
