The state's largest indoor pickleball complex is set to open its doors in 2025.

The Northville Pickleball Club, a 50,000-square-foot facility, will be located on the Ward Church campus in Northville, about 30 miles west of Detroit.

This state-of-the-art complex will feature 16 indoor, climate-controlled courts, including a stadium court for tournaments, professional exhibitions, and competitive matches.

The facility aims to cater to players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced, offering a range of amenities and services.

Key features of the Northville Pickleball Club include:

  • Daily open play for court rental
  • Level-specific session play
  • Weekly planned groups and leagues
  • Clinics, lessons, and one-on-one coaching from professional staff
  • A pro shop with equipment and clothing from leading brands
  • Locker rooms for players
  • A café offering light snacks and beverages
  • Meeting rooms for events and gatherings
  • A player lounge for socialization

The project is a unique partnership between Ward Church, private investors, and public input.

Local residents Mike Schmitt, Mike Kowalczyk, and Christy Howden, co-owner/CEO of Wolverine Pickleball, are the driving forces behind this initiative.

"We've traveled around the country seeing other great places to play and how to make this the perfect place, We think it will be one of the finest pickleball experiences in the country" - Mike Kowalczyk.

 

Construction is expected to begin this summer, with a grand opening planned for 2025.
